Step 01 Intake
For home-euthanasia vets in New Zealand
Just enough practice
software to stay yours.
QoLly handles the paperwork so the conversation can stay warm. Built for solo and small-team home-euth vets in NZ who want their independence — and a quality of life for themselves, their families, and the pet families they serve.
The big idea
What separates a home-euth visit from a clinic visit is the person. QoLly is designed not to get in the way of that.
QoLly never texts or emails owners on your behalf.
Instead, when you're ready to send the intake link, the “on my way” SMS, or the payment instructions, QoLly drafts the message and copies it to your clipboard. You paste it into your own iMessage, WhatsApp, or email thread and hit send.
The owner sees a message from you — not from a robot. You can tweak the wording if it doesn't sound like you that day. The link inside is the only part QoLly needs you to keep intact.
What you get
Nine small tools that disappear into the way you already work.
No dashboards. No analytics. No notifications you didn't ask for. Just the handful of things a home-euth vet does in a week — done in one place, on your phone, in your car, in two taps.
-
01
One screen for your day
Today shows what's waiting on you — owners who've submitted intake and need a time, today's appointments with one-tap call and directions in Apple or Google Maps (your pick), and follow-ups like check payment that appear automatically so nothing falls through the cracks. Owners get an arrival window — 9:45–10:15, not a single minute that traffic can break.
Opens straight to today -
02
Owners fill in their own intake
Send a single short link by text. The owner fills in their pet's details, your visit address, three preferred times, their aftercare choice, and signs consent — all on their phone. The form takes them about two minutes. No paperwork chasing on the day.
Two minutes for the owner -
03
A quietly compliant S8 register
Drug safes, bottles with batch numbers and expiries, your usual cocktails (e.g. Blessed Sleep), prepared vials, and every ledger entry — updated automatically as you receive, mix, administer, dispose, or transfer. The paper trail keeps itself. And if an entry ever needs correcting, it's a proper strike-through amendment — never an erasure.
Updates as you work -
04
Aftercare, without juggling spreadsheets
Pick your aftercare partner in Settings. Their cremation tiers and keepsake catalog appear on the owner's intake form with your markup pre-applied, so owners see your prices and you see what you'll be paid. After the visit, the partner gets a handoff with everything they need.
Pick partner once -
05
Your own landing page
A public page at qolly.io/p/you you can share with referring vets, link from a Google ad, or print as a QR code on a business card. Your name, your tagline, the area you cover, a tap-to-call and tap-to-text button. Yours to share.
Shareable in one tap -
06
Bank-transfer payments with auto follow-up
The owner gets a payment link with your bank details and a unique reference. When they've sent it, they tap I've made the payment — so you get a nudge to check the bank instead of refreshing internet banking for days. You tick paid when the money lands, and if a case finishes unpaid, a check payment follow-up appears in your Today screen automatically — so it doesn't slip your mind for three weeks. And because every payment carries its own unique reference, your bank statement reconciles itself — Xero integration coming soon.
No card processor needed -
07
Mileage logged — and optionally billed
Set your home address once. QoLly quietly records the one-way driving distance to each visit — calculated with Google, snapshotted on the case so it never changes if an address is edited later. No logbook, no odometer photos; at tax time it's all there to total and export. If you charge for travel, QoLly works the fee out for you from the same distance — a free distance, then a per-km rate — and the owner sees it up front. Or be generous, visibly: show the fee and credit some or all of it back, so the owner sees the discount right on their payment link.
Captured when you finish -
08
The family's clinic hears it from you
Owners name their usual clinic on the intake form. When the case completes, QoLly can email that clinic for you — your wording, your template — with a link to the intake details and signed consent. Their records get updated, the referral loop stays warm, and no one posts a vaccination reminder to a family in mourning. It's the one automatic email QoLly sends: to a vet team, never to a family, and only if you turn it on.
Vet to vet, never to the family -
09
A keepsake print from a photo, not an ink pad
Take a photo of the nose or a paw on your phone, and QoLly turns it into a clean ink-style print the family can frame — background lifted away, ink colour and contrast tuned with a couple of sliders. No ink on fur, no smudged card, no second attempt while the family waits.
Free with every case
A case, end to end
From phone call to paid — three taps and a paste.
Step 02 Today
Marie submits. The case shows up at the top of your Today screen.
Step 03 Finish
After the visit, you tick complete. The aftercare handoff and payment link both go out.
You haven't opened a spreadsheet. You haven't logged into anything else. You're already in the car.
$29/mo
After 20 free cases
Simple pricing
Try it free. Pay when it's earning its keep.
Your first 20 cases are free — no card required to start. After that, QoLly is $29/month per practice. One plan, everything included; cancel any time from your settings.
That's it — no per-case fees, no “upgrade for more” tiers. We’d rather you try it properly on real cases and decide for yourself than sign up to anything on day one.
Your data is always yours — you own it, not us. Download everything to a file whenever you like, including if you ever cancel.
And you’re never on your own: every new vet gets a free 30-minute setup call, plus unlimited support whenever something doesn’t work — at no extra cost.
Who it's for
If any of this sounds like your week, QoLly is built for you.
QoLly is designed for the home-euthanasia vet who works alone or with one or two others — driving between visits, writing texts at red lights, juggling intake forms on the kitchen bench at 9 pm. It's not for hospital chains, not for general practice, and not for owners. It's narrow on purpose.
- You're a registered NZ veterinarian doing home euthanasia and palliative care.
- You run your own practice (or are about to) and want to stay independent.
- Your S8 register currently lives in a notebook, a spreadsheet, or somewhere unsettling.
- You're chasing paperwork between visits — and it's wearing you down.
- You'd like owners to fill in their own details so you can focus on the conversation.
- You'd like aftercare to handle itself once you've chosen a partner.
You're not on your own
Take a day off without leaving anyone in the lurch.
Working alone shouldn't mean you can never step away. Every QoLly account includes the locum board — a quiet, free notice board shared across QoLly vets, for finding cover when you need a break and picking up extra work when you have room for it.
- Need cover? Post when you're after a hand — a few days, a Saturday, a holiday. Your listing shows the region and dates only and stays anonymous until another vet responds, so you can ask quietly.
- Want extra work? Say you're available, or reply to a vet who needs help, and pick up locum days that fit around your own week.
- Vet to vet. When someone responds, we pass contact details straight to you both — the rest of the conversation happens off the platform, the way it should.
It's free, listings expire on their own after 90 days, and it's only ever other registered NZ vets on the other end.
Handing over a case doesn't mean handing over the client.
Found someone to cover — or already have a colleague you trust? Delegate the case and it opens in their QoLly: the intake, the address, the notes, everything they need to do the visit well. The case stays yours — your client, your records, your practice. Split the fee however suits you both: a percentage, a flat amount, or something you've already shaken hands on. When they're done, it's back in your books like you never left.
For clinics
Run a clinic? There’s a QoLly for you too.
Post a free “Relief Needed” ad and reach independent relief vets near you — no placement fee, no recruiter’s cut, and your relief vet keeps 100% of their day rate. Refer in-home euthanasia visits to a trusted local vet — and actually hear back: when the visit is done, you get an update with the signed consent, so your records close properly and no vaccination reminder ever lands on a grieving family. And if you’re a small or mobile clinic, QoLly’s flat $29/month is a fraction of what the big hospital systems cost.

About us
QoLly is developed in New Zealand — by NZ vets, for NZ vets. No corporate, no investors, no offshore help desk.
A vet and a software developer, not a corporate.
QoLly is Molly and Ray. Molly is a veterinarian; Ray has spent his career building software. We built QoLly from the ground up around the way home-euthanasia vets actually work — instead of asking you to pay thousands of dollars a year for clinic software full of things you'll never use.
This work is about quality of life — for the pets, for their families, and for the vet doing it. We wanted the independence that comes with it, and we made QoLly so other vets can have it too. (That's the name, by the way: QoL, quality of life — kept safe by Qolly the collie, down in the footer.)
